Best of luck with Chimaera! You can do it!

Still struggling with Flame Demon incidentally. Probably going to invest heavily in flame resistance since Leg Binding doesn't seem to always work when I need it most. I respec'd my Hexer and Gunner too, so now my Hexer has the ever beloved Evil Eye+Suicide combo. My Gunner is more focused on binds, unlike EOU1, they actually work pretty often here which really helps a lot with setting up Ecstasy, which does more damage than anything my Gunner could ever hope to do anyway, at least until I get charged elemental shots =(

Part of me wants to reclass a Medic into a War Magus and use that too (Something I should've done from the start), since... their portraits are cuter. Plus looking at it they have better stats barring lower LUC, but I don't use my WM for binds anyway. I might since, I'm going to grind anyway (Need so much En) @_@

EDIT: I got a rank 7 Weapon Free Grimoire from my Recycling! Seems amazing ;_;

For the Flame Demon I spent some time leveling a Protector to get a Fire Wall grimoire, and I'm currently working on getting the other two elemental walls for future boss fights.

Sovereign/Highlander/Beast
Alchemist/Hexer

Unfortunately they didn't really balance out the two tanks out as well as some of the other classes. Beast is harder to use, but when used right, it's the stronger of two options. It's not really as big a deal as I've seen others make it out to be, and you still want that Protector if you won't have some form of elemental defence via Sovereign (maybe Troubadour as well). You can close some of the gap with Grimoires, but the Protector Force skills are honestly kind of bogus in comparison and I don't think those few points of Vit make up for the gap in some of the other stats.

But woooow have they ever levelled up from the original EOII.

Kinda funny. He killed my healer and I was swearing loudly in my room. My dad calls me to make sure that I'm alright (eh heh ^_^;;) and then we get into a conversation. I come back ten mins later already strategizing my next moves, and let my team finish up their round XD and my Landsknecht delivers the final blow.

So my healer was dead. But oh well. I'm not too bummed. (I'm the sort that really doesn't care about my team's stats remaining together. Pffft, I'd never beat anything like that)

Congrats! Healers seem to have a habit of dying, my War Magus is still 1 level behind everyone =/

It was an amazing fight, though. Once I used a stupid Analysis scope and figured out its weaknesses (esp the binds) it became quite a bit easier. Also using sleep instead of trying to paralyze it made a world of difference.

was really easy! Beat her on my 2nd try, could've been my first, but I was silly and got wrecked by her poison fang attack. Of course I expect the boss difficulty to take a sharp rise soon, since Scylla is about to come up =(

I did the Hot Springs DLC and defeated the Gentle Toad.

My poor Hexer. The boss was completely in love with her (literally) and did the most horrible things. Very easy fight though, even though he was resistant to most binds. Classic characters are apparently not good enough to receive fan service however =/

I tried playing the story mode on picnic thinking i can just catch up and follow along and get best of both worlds. I go to 2nd floor and my first fight is 3 crawlers. Scares shit out of me... Until they all die in one hit... I try to be ok with this but then I get a level up and I'm staring at the skills and I have a "what's the point" moment.... Why bother trying to prete d there's strategy and that whatever I pick matters. And then an FOE is there and I wonder... I could prolly kill it like this...

I leave the dungeon and move difficulty up and try again. No still not right. Too easy. But I try to remind myself that's the point of this. Just do the story. But I can't. An hour later I turn the game off out of disinterest. Even for the story there's no point if there's no difficulty. I stopped playing with game genies and game sharks for this reason. Lol

My War Magus' skills have been redistributed and my Hexer is back to fear hexing. Also, I've finally started investing into the offensive Beast skills.
