Yeah. The plot is why I'm trying to play it.

I only played EOU's Story so that I could ensure that my Ronin had his strongest Katana and for the completionist in me. Ill probably have to force myself through UO2U's plot likewise, hopefully they got better writers this time around..
I dont want the hate for the storylines to effect a potential EO3U next year though, or the chance of there being an EO6 in the future! (too soon?)

For fights like that, I save my Force skills for any addition of immense threat () and try to overcome the enemy with more TP-efficient sources of damage in the event I know I can't just blow it up in one cycle. Sovereigns are really strong for this kind of fight, since they can build Force and restore TP as the enemy grows weaker.

is immune to all binds. I'm not quite sure how I'm supposed to beat them. is weak and dies in two turns once bound, but being resistant to binds means my best damage dealer is completely helpless against her.
This wouldn't be an issue if their Force Break wasn't a one-shot mechanic. I suppose I could run a Protector and trivialize the fight. The other option is to kill first, but my party isn't sturdy enough to take repeated assaults from the both of them.
Also you're not forced to fight them at night now. Weird change, but it is kinda convenient.

My game hast arrived! I did get the first run version, although I didn't get the Staff Art book that was advertised, though I did get the CD, and I mostly just wanted the box anyways so whatever. I shall write me new first impressions here in real time. I'll be playing Classic Mode, though I might run Story Mode by it later. A bit miffed I'm missing out on the Highlander, but tbh I'm happy with the team ideas I have for now.
Checking out the DLC, got the three available for free ones. The Original Sin looks really, really cool if that's actually a new stratum/mini-stratum.
Started on Expert, even though normally I start on Normal in the newer games. I guess I just feel READY this time.
I've put together my previously specified team. I wasn't sure what portrait I wanted to do for my Alchemist, so I did one but changed my mind later so had to delete him and make him again putting him at the bottom of the list. Always been a slight peeve that I had not being able to move their slots but no biggie.
First battle, Landy dies instantly. I guess I should have gotten my Protector an actual shield, heheh...
INSERT A LOT OF STUFF HERE THAT I DIDN'T BOTHER TO WRITE
Alright, so I played up until the point where the demo ended last time, and booooy have my feelings on this game changed. It's really good fun, and I'm not sure if Story Mode just isn't as good as Classic or if I was just too cynical with the demo, but yeah, absolutely no guilt in my purchase whatsoever now. Also, though I haven't gotten to any bosses yet, my team seems to be doing very well. I feel like once I get Monarch March on my Prince my team will probably be pretty much unstoppable for general Labyrinth exploring.
Also, can you not get Fafnir Grimoires in Classic without using Guild Cards? Because there are a few good skills on Fafnir (From what I remember of the Demo) that I might like to stick on my Landy.

You can get Fafnir grimoires in classic by trading them with NPCs in your guild house, and you unlock that by . Isn't the art book the little booklet that's inside of the game box?

Yes it is. Sponge, check ur box. ^_^ That's not an instruction booklet. Haha.
Like I said, based off the readings I was getting from your previous posts it just felt like you had some angst and negativity towards the remake. I'm glad that you are looking at it with a brighter light and are forming a better opinion of it. It's not without its flaws, but then what EO game has been 100% perfect?
Honestly, :\ I've not been offered any grimoire stones from fafnir class that I want to keep. Then again, most of my stones have been used to increase the effectivness of my team's current skills. It's just my play style. I've never been interested in subclassing haha
I'm so obsessed it's not even funny. Hahaha. This game has far surpassed even my love for the original version and it totally smashes EOIV in the dust. I'm so happy <3 There's just so much that makes this game SO MUCH fun.
