Yeah, that's why I choose a Guild who has a name that I don't mind them calling me in this game. ^^;; Therefore I took Ragnarok as the name choice [Thanks, ZetaBladeX13! =D ] and changed my Guild's name afterwards to MeiQ.
And it's so funny because my friend just finished Metal Gear Solid 4 before starting EOII, so he was happy to know that someone gave out their password for their party named C.Q.C. on GameFAQs. ^^;; Now his party is complete with their Guild name and party members all referencing MGS4.

So, I explored the 2nd floor a bit last night.
Got nicked by the thieving squirrel.
It was all good because I had an extra warp wire. I mapped out the FOEs path, but I really need to pay more attention because I kept running into the damn Furyhorn! The first time I game over'd which sucked because I had gotten the cactus pin.
Oh well. The second time I bumped into the Furyhorn, I was backed up to the all, so, yeah, I just shut the DS off.
The third time, I was able to escape with 2 corpses. Urgh. It was all just me not paying attention. During my earlier play, I did take on Gashtor with my level 3 party. I whittled him down to the red, but he killed the last person before I could beat him. I knew I would fail, but I wanted to see what the foe was.
I'm having so much fun exploring. I think my characters are level 5. I'm just experimenting with skill points, which I'm probably fucking up, but hey, I like doing it on my own without all this "better skill build" stuff.
I want to max up Viper for my DH, Zamba is working great for my Ronin. I have 1 point each into Ice & Volt. I'm just leveling up guns with my Gunner. I have a point in Cure for my medic, but I'm looking to max scavenge so I can get more stuff to sell. I need en! The next skills I'll work towards are Climax, Orochi, and some of the shots for the gunner. I want Wildshot, possibly Snipe, and eventually I'll get Medishot, but later when I can just max it out. For the alchemist, Ice & Volt spells, then Analysis & I'd like to get Megiddo. I like nuking things! The Medic is a fighter so I'll be dividing between healing and strength. So far, we're holding our own.
Done with LVL 3 for now, but LVL 4, I don't think is as bad, but my first adventure ended with a gashtor sooo watch out. My chars are around level 12, and for now I am pumping ricochet and working for curse cut. I am so low on money, which also spells problems in the future. 500 en just doesnt last like it used too.
I whole-heartedly agree, Tek! -_-; The last time my map was editted, I just erased the bullshit that it stuck in there because not only was it just more confusing and inaccurate, but I spent more time glaring at it and wondering if it was right than I would if I turned the corner and discovered the same things for myself.

Wow! It remarked your map that baddly? Maybe I just got lucky as I found the guards early before I was far into the floor. But, I use yellow to mark FOE paths and the blue to mark damage/special tiles. I wonder if there's a difference the game picks up on or something. But I remember in the first game, it did screw up my map several times when it updated.
So, I mapped the 3rd floor up to the door guarded by Flausgul, and so far, not to so bad. Well, except for the fucking ladybug that summoned a raflesia that proceeded to murder 3 members of my team. Escaped with a barely alive Dark Hunter and a half-dead Alchemist. They liked the extra experience. I had gotten pretty far and was not going to let that little fucker ruin my work. Sorry for the swearing.
Anywhoo, that wasn't so bad. Oh, an the stalker in the room with the boar spear. I wanted the chest, but I saved my map progress and noted what the item was because no one is using a sword. I won't be back to that chest for a while. But, besides those two encounters, floor 3 hasn't been so bad.
I put a point in Snipe for my gunner and was initially veeeerrrrry disappointed, but I have to say, she has saved my party's collective ass many a times sniping those damn ladybugs, while my Ronin and Dark Hunter keep missing. I figure, she'll at least weaken the buggers, and the Medica and Alchemist can mop up. For later level farming, I stick Rose, my main farmer, in place of my Alchemist to hit the more out of the way spots. I was able to take a team of choppers to the chop point around the corner from the Geo Pole. As Rose levels, I'll put extra points in all her farming points. I also took her along to get the short bow from the 2nd floor secret area. The wood bow I gave to my troubador in reserve, but I may give it to another farmer. I think my characters are all level 9. I want to see if I can take down a Furyhorn.
I know I can take the Gashtor with 3 left alive.
Anyway, I have savenge maxed on Tesla, viper maxed on Onyx and working towards Climax, level 2 or 3 zamba and level 1 Orochi on Devere, Newton is level 2 ice and level 1 volt and working towards analysis, and Bela has level 1 snipe working towards wildshot. I'm a little unsure about Newton because of low TP and high cost. Is analysis ok to work on first? He is a good member of the team. I'm just having trouble focusing an what to do first with him.
