I play my DS the most at night just before bed, unless it's a game I'm really hooked on or something I just acquired.

Although I played 20+ hours of Pokemon Pearl at the hospital when my grandma was having her cancer cut away. Fuck you, cancer, my grandma is awesome.

I have headphones for my DS for whenever I'd play My French Coach at night. You kinda have to have the sound up for that one.

I LOVE game music, even if it's not very good, and even go to the extremes of playing with headphones in my ears - which for a DS REALLY makes the sound that much better.

Yeah, but headphones are mega uncomfortable and I hate them.

Besides, the battery lasts foreeeever this way.

It doesn't say anywhere in my manual that it will take damage from leaving it plugged in. :[

You're supposed to turn it off before plugging or unplugging the charger, I remember.

I always wait for the red light o' fear before charging. I hate went it pops up and I'm not ready to leave the labyrinth!

I've been seriously neglecting the quests. -___-; SERIOUSLY.

? I never read some such thing. *Shrugs* <_< I always plug mine in every night unless I've not played it that day or am just too lazy to bother. And because of my laziness there have been many days where I've played the game while plugged in because there was no battery life to it. Once it was charged and the light went off, I quickly disconnect (without turning off my DS).

If there's side-effects, I've not noticed any. I doubt my power-switch problem had much to do with the battery.

Not that I'm saying you're wrong or anything Kino or saying that people shouldn't listen to your advice. Only saying to Zandrena that "I play my DS roughly, too." I figure Nintendo HAD to have designed these things KNOWING that 10 year-olds would be playing them. Anything I do to the system surely pales in comparison to anything a 10 year-old could do to it.
