The coding is funny sometimes. I was playing last night and doing "The perfect gift" quest, on 9F specifically. I don't know how but Actaeon (the last killed monster) replaced the name of my Medic in an event. It basically looked like a monster searched through the caravan remains for my party and sprung a trap which hit my Medic.
By the way, I'm running:
Protector/Ronin
Medic/Gunner/Survivalist
It's been good. By the time the Medic runs out of TP my inventory is probably full. Don't know if the chip damage of the War Magus is enough for me to switch back. Yeah the Medic's healing is excessive but maxing out Cure/Salve 3 is very cheap, leaving points for cool stuff like CPR and Refresh Lv 8. TP Regen is also nice.

This is still my favourite NPC by far:
Especially that one quest where you get to ask for gift advice. So flustered. <3 I wish we could be BFF IRL so I could choose the Talk command every day to hear enlightening words of encouragement.
Never underestimate the labyrinth.

As for a real story, not yet. I'll have to play through the entire game and not ditch it like I usually do. Much more likely to complete it now that I've swapped my Dark Hunter for a Ronin. Funner this way.

I picked EOII back up, recently. I'm at the second stratum with Scy's Super Special Cookie Cutter Team.
But I am sad because my Ronin died in the first boss fight, and so now she came out at level 14, and everyone else was level 15...close to 16.
I hate uneven exp...

Might swap the Survivalist for a Troubadour. 1st Turn is nice but in many situations where it has helped it wouldn't have been necessary if I had the right buffs. The back-row damage is nice but right now a single katana slash does more damage than two shots of a bow, which is a real shame when the Ronin can put out three of those per turn. Basically I'm considering someone better at supporting and I don't feel like putting in a Hexer... yet. :b Might retire after I have the key necessary to enjoy the rest of the labyrinth.
