So, king, ^_^ you should talk more with us.
:3 What's your party? What are their names? Do they have any kind of a "story" in your mind ('cause that's the best part, to be sitting there playing and imagining your guys talking amongst each other as you take them through the labyrinth).

early on in EO I was completely immersed. I felt like it was me alone in the labyrinth, not a team of characters. That stuff developed later.

I agree noodles. That's kinda why I had a "main character" so when I had those feelings, I was kinda just channeling it into that one character. In EO it was Shiana my Landsknecht, but in EOII it was Tess by Medic. :3 So it kinda worked itself out in the end.
But I agree, the games were great because of those feelings, but I think the first game gave it to me far more than EOII did.

My Guild name is Aguirre. When I started the game I wasnt play much attention and thought that they were asking for my name XD. Because of that i like to think that my party members are blood-related.
In the front row:
Landsknecht named Tsubaki.- she is quite energetic and always attacks first but most of the time she miss.
Ronin named Alfredo.- Its the cranky old uncle who is always cleaning Tsubaki mess but fails at the important moments ( **coughcolossuscough**).
In the back row:
Alchemist named Revy.- Most of the time she let the others do the dirty job but when everything seems ruined she shows her true powers. Some say that if she fight seriously all the time, the labyrinth will collapse. I think she is just lazy.
Medic named Nia.- She is the leader and the one who keep this family together.
Gunner named Simon.- Alfredo's son who although his father opposed to the idea, has become a quite capable gunman.
But lets get back on topic =P
Today i reached the 23th floor and after a lot of problems with the FOEs I made my way up to the guardians. I fought with them until all my party members had their force skill activated so I was confident about my victory over colossus. Unfortunately I was wrong. The force skills proved to be useless, only my alchemist was able to gave him considerable damage. A couple of turns later my party was obliterated.
Back in town I decided to rest my whole party to rearrange my skill points because I wasted alot in useless stuff. I bought a bunch of everything and went for a second round against colossus. This time I didnt fill my force points. The fight was hard and long. I run out of items and only my medic had TP left (not much altough) . But.... I realized that Colossus was weak so I decided to give Axcelas to my alchemist. Alfredo and Tsubaki died in that turn but their sacrifice made possible for me to beat that monster
the game keeps getting better and better ^_^
