*Sigh*
This thread just screams *REVIVE ME!*
This evening,
I spent 90 minutes just reading through pages 20 - 45,
And I realized why I loved EOII this much.
This is a truly wonderful thread, and I'd love to see you all discuss this game "Once More".

One word: Muckdile.
Never saw one outside of Etrian I, and at this point, I probably never will. Shame, too, since it and a few random conditional drops of non-bosses are all I'm missing

So after a long run into uncharted territory up to the last floor of the stratum, the exhausted party was about ready to call it a trip and warp back to the inn for some rest. Two of its members were apprentices, and although they did well for only their third venture to this stratum, were not looking so hot anymore. In fact, the party was lucky just to be alive after two FOE ambushes and unusually frequent random encounters.
The group thought back on the vulgar man from earlier, hawking warp wires, and let out a collective chuckle as visions of ale and bedsheets warmed their weary minds and bodies. Plopping the stuffed loot bag on the ground, Valerie fumbled around for a few moments and...
... where was the warp wire?
... no.
It was a harrowing journey back to the geomagnetic pole, but miraculously, the group made it out. It was decided that there would be a chat with that odd man upon return to the labyrinth, but for now, it was straight off to bed (...with a quick stop at Sitoth Trading....)
So, is this your first time wandering the second stratum?
Because it seems to me that you hadn't seen the guard before,
But I just can't believe you not being in the sixth stratum.
...Or are you leveling a retired party?
You'd better use bosses for that.
