If it's the second stratum, I'll facepalm. So far, we have the same formula working:

Initiaton/Mapping Tutorial (which really is insulting to the guild, if they are using the password from EO1)
Advice to run from FOEs on Floor 3
Stalkers on Floor 3
Big open room on Floor 3 (not as big as EOI's floor 3 open space though)
"Helper" blocks door on Floor 3 and tells you to go to the town hall
Problem on the next two floors--you take up the challenge

At least the FOE on floor 1 was a nice change... though it didn't chase you. XD Imagine how much of a kick in the gut that'd be, if it did that at the start of the game.

It's in the 1st Stratum; 4th Floor quest, at that.

You can still take Survivalists in to farm the nodes but there's a chance you hit an Ambush instead of an item. This applies to both EO2 and EO3 but EO3 warns you that you may trigger an Ambush if you continue so it's completely avoidable. They suck but a full party of Survivalists with ESC Up can typically make it out alive from nearly any ambush.

About how high should I raise that skill, until I don't have to really worry?

ESC Up? You only have to put 1 point in it to max it.

Taking a stab at the final boss... [spoiler]I wasted all my MP on his first form, even though pretty much every final boss in any game ever has at least 2 forms... I should have realized... [/spoiler]

In other news, today, a little squirrel thing stole my warp wire, (I gave one to a guard who needed one earlier), and then I realized I hadn't stocked up before and was out. [spoiler]I was on the 22nd floor where you need to up to the 24th, through a maze or two, and back down to floor 21.[/spoiler] I got ambushed by every single foe, but scraped through. Yaaay force skills!

And boy, is the bosses' first form's music lame or what?! I felt like dancing a jig, not ripping his throat out....
