Okay...

When I picked up EOI again to start a new game, the number (you know, total damage and all that) animation was moving very slowly, much more than I remember.

I tried starting another new game, but the same thing happened.

Any clue what's wrong? I'm not playing on a ROM, by the way.

I guess it was always like that and EOIII made me forget. Seeing as Strange Journey and EOII took a similar amount of time.

Oh noez! I had my second game over. [spoiler] On B3F when fighting the Golem - I found the "secret" passages leading there from B5F when looking for the legendary treasure after reaching the third stratum, and so I thought the boss's gonna be easy since Armoths' weren't that hard. And voilá! All my party members did 1-8 damage, except for Alchemist who did about 100-150 with Ice and Survivalist 250 with Apollon. I could have killed him eventually, however because I wanted to come back later so that it wouldn't take so long, I tried to run away after both my Alch and Sur died because of my negligence. And suddenly I read - you cannot run away from this battle! ...

Screw your elements. I hit you hard. Fast and hard. Ironcrabs make me a sad adventurer. At least they aren't as bad as ARMROLLS. My GOD, before the 5t stratum boss, I pretty much flipped out when I got those and the flower enmies. They raped my party when I got blindsided and put to sleep.

My god, Ironcrabs have reached near meme levels of popularity among EO fans for how annoying they are.

Huh, somehow... I feel an "XD" should've gone somewhere in that sentence.

I feel bad I knew were the story was going but I feel bad I had to destroy them. Oh well just got to make it five more levels. Then I can move on to EO2. Yay!

In my second runthrough I used to spam Petrify at least to keep 'em quiet while I killed the other mobs. Troubadour's elemental enchants also work wonder.
