Currently trying to get that damn Staryu after going through the Trick House to get the Smoke Ball to use alongside my Cradily's Suction Cups. Still... That damn 5% chance. After that it's time to catch Corsola and Luvdisc to complete pretty much all of the sea parts (with exception of some evolutions but that's easy to take care of).

My current main income is a Gentleman that gives 10k by default, but then there's Amulet Coin and Prize Money O-Power (currently just Lvl. 1). Heard is you also bring in Luck Incense it will also increase your money. Also have a guy that's supposed to have Happy Hour on one of his Pokémon, but I need to wait for him to "recover" before I can battle him.

Edit: Luck Incense and Amulet Coin does not both activate, only one, per battle. Got the Happy Hour, have not tried it yet, will tomorrow. Also got the Staryu. And I also realize I will need so many evolution stones later on, gosh darn it.

Made another attempt since I was still in the Elite 4. Decided to try my hand against Marshal and Caitlin to see how weak I was. After beating them, I attempted Shauntal again.

Now it's just a matter to actually registering all of those Pokémon. It's gonna be a bother to get both Kingdra and Dusknoir since they're not just trade evolutions, but they're trade evolutions while holding items. Then there's of course the Regi Trio, that I've never actually tried catching, Latios, Groudon, Deoxys (urgh, E4 rematch) and Jirachi, which isn't even available in any way at the moment. I'm guessing though that they do plan to do a Jirachi event soon, or just a distribution.

Made it to Mauville and took down Watson. Was pleasantly surprised when my Illumise basically tanked him, which was unintentional as I was planning on using my Nincada for him. I had intended on getting a Volbeat, but upon further reflection it dawned on me that this team is screwed come Lavaridge's Gym provided that the gym leader still spams Sunny Day, Overheat, and still uses Torkoal. So I decided to just grab a Confuse Ray Illumise with Tinted Lens via DexNav and got a treat in a 3-star potential one.

I'm hoping my Illumise acts a primary trump card for that potential Torkoal by stalling it with Encore (if it uses Sunny Day) and Confuse Ray while utilizing Charge Beam to raise its Special Attack for a STAB Struggle Bug. Then there is my Masquerain with Water Sport if all else fails...

I have to say, so far I'm enjoying this remake way more than I thought I would.

Starting out White 2 finally, with a modest Snivy. Hopefully that wasn't a mistake, but I already used Oshawatt, and don't like Tepig.


... and once again, the Rod is post-game, and therefore Milotic is as well.

Much like in XY, the IV checker is in the PokéCenter near the Battle Maison.

I checked on Serebii, and apparently you don't need /all/ Pokémon for the Shiny Charm. Apparently you can completely ignore Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect and Diancie.

Flannery down, it feels like they completely nerfed her. Was expecting a Camerupt and got a Numel instead (this is probably why it felt nerfed). On top of that, her Torkoal was no longer holding onto that one time use stat restore item. On the bright side, my Illumise plan worked out rather well for locking that Torkoal down. Will be interesting to see how Norman's gym fares.

Shes using the team from Ruby and Sapphire rather than the team she used in Emerald.

*shrug* I wanted a candy bar for the night, and didn't want to just buy that, so when I saw work restocked Omega Ruby, I decided to say 'screw it' and nabbed it quick.

Kinda sucks for White 2, though. Spent 16 years wanting to find an excuse to use Arcanine, and it gave me one. Further coincidence: Brother got me White 2, brother got Red for himself back in the day. You gave me an Arcanine at some point, bro.

Made it to the Safari Zone, went in looking for a Heracross and came out with both it and a Pinsir. Unfortunately, to make room for both of them 2 current members had to be booted... Dustox was an easy choice as he was becoming less useful compared to others. Then came the choice that pained me, but the solution is to now utilize my Illumise as a reserve character for when the others feel like they're getting over leveled or when I don't need a HM slave. Also, I did get a nice surprise upon arriving in Fortree City that my Masquerain has HP Rock.

I do have one question regarding the Safari Zone; I saw two TMs in there that I could not find any access point to, are some of the areas locked away until later in the game or am I overlooking something? I have tried both Acro and Mach bikes.

Looked it up. Doesn't seem like it. Mach Bike, Acro Bike and Surf. Tried surfing?

There were apparently 2 areas in Emerald that weren't accessible until the Elite 4 were finished, but there was no indication it was in ORAS.

You need both bikes and Surf to gain access to TM93 (Wild Charge) & TM53 (Energy Ball), but you can only get both bikes after beating the Delta Episode.
