I guess there was... You see, on the bosses character sheet, there were notes scrawled near the stats like "+2 on 2nd. form" but these notes were nowhere near the stats he used against us. Also, he was only supposed to heal half of his health after transformation.

*Important note: Not actually a Senpai.

Lesson of the Day: DMs must make the game fun for all, not just themselves.

Unfortunately, not every DM is able to understand the concept of "balance" and "fairness." Or "In Character knowledge."

I'm suddenly grateful for my DM. He usually asks for feedback after a session to gauge how we liked the battles, in case they were too hard or too easy. Usually they're just the right level of "fuck you" and "epic player achievements" ... like when Deneb takes down an entire battle with one spell.

Yeah, it got kind of annoying that everytime I used my wings in battle for something, the DM would always attempt to get them ripped or eaten.

Huh, every time I would cast Levitate or a Fly spell on my allies the DM wouldn't complain or try and find creative ways to hinder me from doing so.

... Which actually surprises me =|

So, my DM and I were talking about how we can unbreak the game that I have broken, because I've revealed so many problems with the current set up: I can spam "Willpower" to keep myself at 1 HP indefinately, and I can buy arrows en masse, which leads to me having like 50 of each arrow that can bypass a certain type of armor:

Sword- Slashing Damage
Standard Arrows: Piercing (ignores cloth, leather, and chainmail armor)
Explosive Arrows: Explosion... (ignores stone armor, but that might be changed to plate)
Hammerhead Arrows: Blunt (ignores plate armor, but might be switched to Stone).

I did suggest a quiver for each bow you buy that has a tiered ammo capacity (this would work for guns and other ammo weapons as well) for how many arrows you can carry into battle. XD Because admit it, having a total of 150 arrows is overkill.

Also: My DM is forcing me to be designated healer next campaign. xD And he will do everything in my power to not let me fight (vow of non-violence or something) or be a tank. And I argued, "But it's good to be a healer-tank; it's bad when the healer dies."

We took down a wizard capable of casting 9th level spells, who we totally wouldn't have normally being able to destroy, but one of the player's grabbed his bonded item (a Staff of Power) and then we used a summoned Grizzly Bear to grapple him, and our Cleric used Dimensional Anchor to keep from from fleeing.

Then it was just a shitstorm of slaughter to bring that motherfucker down, especially after he launched a massive neutralize spell, and we all had to roll Will saves for our magic items.

Failing the save rendered the magic item useless.

For the record my character, Deneb, wears of very expensive diadem that gives her +6 INT (boosts the DC of her spells, plus all the extra spell levels, and just generally is what makes her so lethal as an arcane spellcaster; her intelligence modifier is a god-like 9). She also carries a special one-of-a-kind staff which enables her to use metamagic feats 3/day (including Quicken spell)

I ended rolling a natural 20 to save my diadem (fuck yes) and a 19 on the staff -- wh00t w00t! I literally jumped for joy I was so happy to keep my items.

Also because we killed the high-level wizard (who we totally weren't supposed to be able to defeat) we got a ton of awesome items in return. There's a ring of arcane wizardry -- doubles your 1st and 2nd level spell slots which, for Deneb, would be really useful because she actually has a ton of awesome spells at that level... Glitterdust, Web, Ill Omen, Staggering Fall, See Invisibility, etc.

xD My DM made me trade Dice with him to see if it's me or the Dice that makes the rolls good. And it's both: He rolled well with my dice and I rolled well with his. xD Though I debunked his arguement that my rolls weren't as good as with my own dice by saying, "Fact of the matter is that you loaned me this very die when I first joined, remember? Do you remember what my very first roll was?"

"20..."

"I tamed your D20." xD

So, the coolest thing we did this session:

I think I mentioned my DM's nickname for me has been Captain Crit because of how I seem to roll pretty good, or when I use my rerolls (Once per session reroll and my spell), I usually get absurdly better results. xD

But the good news for our group is that under normal circumstances, I can now be out damaged by our robot who has an attack that can possibly do 400 damage. I also told my DM that since we're already kind of under the blessing of that wolf god, I might as well take that as my religion. xD All 3 of us could be like a Wolf Cult.

I just spent 4 hours helping my husband update his character from level 9 to level 13.

I think I get the wife of the year award now. Just saying.

You do...

Also, in our last campaign, my DM finally made me happy by making it possible for me to have syneergy with my party. XD So, he added team attacks and we were fighting this one boss that had a mirror that would reflect magic attacks and effects back at us. Our Mage was hurting badly and our robot could easily destroy him if I used this one item I have 3 uses per day of.

So, we initiated this team attack that involved me attacking with my Dimension Element Sword (I'm now Arcane/Dimension element for my affinity) and using the item, while our robot attacked with his Metal element sword and Telsa Cannon (the item I used triples damage from metal element and multiplies lightning and earth by 1.5) and our mage snuck up on him to try and steal the mirror. The DM saw the catch-22 I put him in and weighed his options. In the end, he didn't take out the mirror, got hit for triple damage from the robot, critical and unblockable damage from me, and then our mage STILL stole the mirror. XD

Though by the end of the battle, our robot's arms got blown up, I was hanging on by 27 HP and our mage was hurting as well. Then our DM pulled a cliffhanger ending for our final session--when our martial artist character returns from his training in hell. The boss of the man we just killed hopped onto the roof of the train, giving us little time to do much (We healed up and the robot got new arms from his god.). I think killing a new boss and saving the party is a much better badass way for him to show off his new stuff, instead of having me get my ass kicked... again. xD Though the player might want to do it to me anyways, because I DID do about 100 damage to him with my swordchuks, when he was posessed.

Good news for me: My bow is not as broken now, so my DM might not mind me blowing a hole in this new boss's chest--he has stone armor and I have explosive arrows. XD In addition, this new bow does so much more and is far more durable--200 durability over 15 durability of my previous one. XD

I love how I can now break our robot's damage. xD I can use the Weakness Eye on anything and if it doesn't DC 18 int save, it takes a buttload of damage from our robot(who already could out damage me on average).

27 HP? What's your max?

My squishy little witch only has, like, 65 HP max.

My new favorite spell is "Spite" -- the first (and often only) melee attack or combat maneuver used against me triggers it. I can put any level 4 or lower touch attack into Spite, so I use Vampiric Touch. 12d6 damage, and I get the damage dealt as temporary HP. Buahaha. The DM will be like "okay, Deneb takes 23 points of damage" and I'll be like *roll* "okay, and you take 37 points of damage"

Of course once this put me in the awkward position of my familiar getting Confused -- and Deneb being the closest person to my tiny deadly dweomer cat familiar -- so I had to run away out of fear the Confused familiar would "attack nearest target" (Deneb) and trigger the Spite!

Well, HP is scaled a bit differently in this homebrew. xD I have a couple perks that gave me an extra 150 HP. So, right now, I have a maximum of 350 HP. And in addition to being a tank, I have a pretty good arsenal of weapons: two elemental swords, a magic shield that comes out of a bracelet, a normal shield, a bow with 150 arrows (divided evenly between standard, hammerhead, and explosive), a greatsword, and sword-chuks...

Yeah, I paid out of the butt for a pair of sword-chuks. XD I do have a scythe I inherited from my previous character, but I need to wait until I'm at least Tier 6 to even use it(my stats are tier 3 by the homebrew's standards).

Honestly, I wanna find a D&D campaign again and try to remake my ranger. XD I just love the goal of becoming a Horizon Walker.
