I like how pretty much everything is viable this time. Sure some out damage others (looking at you ) but everything has its own capability.

For those of you who bought physical copies, your Club Nintendo coins should work now. If you already registered and got 0 coins, there should be a registration survey available on your To-Do list that gives you the 40 coins. Just got mine, so I take back my cussin', Nintendo.


Also, my afk-A-holding isn't going so swimmingly. I forgot that the lower level mob EXP ramps up really steeply early on, and it doesn't really work unless you're mega overgeared (ie, there is literally a 0% chance of you ever dying). Also there aren't that many passively healing skills that you can abuse like in EO4 (Arcanist walking heal, anyone?), nor any auto-healing spells (like auto-revive/auto-heal). Right now I'm relying on Prayer (heal a tiny bit of HP/TP after each fight, Protector skill) and that Highlander skill that heals whenever you land the killing blow on something. Currently circling around B10, though I may have to go back to B9 or 8, despite how much slower they are...

B11 is really fast, but my team gets wiped every hour or so depending on my luck so no way I'm leaving that on overnight.

Anything on floor differences? Are the floors the same in Classic mode as they are in EO1, with Story mode just having different floors to mix it up?

The floors are quite different now. New random encounters, new FOEs.

Has anyone managed to get a grimoire chance on a stratum boss fight?

Yeah. I actually got Fenrir's skills though they are garbage tier at 2 points each.

Pretty sure they are not guaranteed, because I didn't get one from fenrir.

Each boss, the main seven, have the grimiore with their special skill at lv 10 as a rare drop. Outside of that if theur other skills are gettable then you can just get those.

Well, I guess I have terrible luck, because I didn't get a single grimoire chance at lv 15 fighting for ~20 turns.

This game started kicking my ass at floor 5 @_@ what happened to those nice little butterflies?!
Loving it so far though. Enjoying story mode, even if the party isn't my own. Though I do wish they'd shut up sometimes. Or even just stop talking when we walk past a shortcut or inspect-spot...

Herp. Found the mute option. AWESOME... does anyone know if that extends to the mini-scenes outside of the labrynth? I don't mind them then.
