Re: EOUII Rantage!
I want to like EOUII. I really do. From what I am seeing though, I may skip out on Story Mode again, despite my love for the new character designs (except for Chloe, because she is starting to piss me off.)
So yeah... Why is the U Team going extra dumb with their story?! Why do they keep appealing to the lowest common denominator?!

The Library is starting to annoy me, honestly.

Re: EOUII Rantage!
The problem with the story team in EOU was that they had no reason to be where they are in the first place. I might have said this before (There are too many places I talk at, I lost track, sorry) but:
The Highlander is, alone, absolutely unfit to go to the ruins. The sheer idea of summoning him based on 'they are such strong melee fighters' and their principle of 'true justice for all' doesn't make much sense as answer to the question 'who should we send into those recently discovered, potentially deadly ruins'. Especially not when you have Ren and Tlachtga at hand, who, as it seems, were 'on stand-by' till the Highlander showed up, meaning they should have had enough time to skip over to Gladsheim and do stuff, even before the letter reaches the clans.
Frederica, likewise, it makes little to no sense to put a little girl into cryosleep, especially seeing what her task would be (wander all alone through the potentially destroyed and therefore impassable ruins of the laboratory (should you actually make it to 1000 years from now and the pod doesn't get damaged) to unlock a missile that is the only chance of killing the core, leaving five other cores unchecked because we are incompetent like that. If the laboratory is impassable, you'll have to find another way. all alone)
And the team from the Library? They couldn't have told anyone they were coming? Not even remotely? Hell, what if they would have kicked the bucket? No one would have known till Rosa gets worried. And hell, they wouldn't even have known about the mansion as such, seeing they apparently had no plans for actually staying in Etria. thumbs up.
With the team in EOU2 it strikes me similar, knowing what we know so far.
Arianna seems to be the only one who remotely has a reason to head to Lagaard (with the ritual and stuff), but the rest seems just so... unfit to accompany her, Library or not. And even with Arianna there's no explanation why such a young girl has to do that stuff, instead of someone experienced in battle, with a skilled team of people around them. (*coughcoughvirginsacrificecoughcough*)
In general, the answer to the question as to why the character in U exist is with all of them 'because the game (mechanics) demands it'. There's no in-universe reason that would make actual sense. Let's hope they did better with U2, though seeing they shoehorn in the Library AGAIN I kind of doubt it.

Persona Q has 18 playable characters, and some others are NPCs.
All of those have voices, Koromaru has animal sound.
EOU has only five playable characters that have voices.
EOU2 will have many voices? Classic with 44 voices and four animal sounds. Instead acting is fewer than main characters.
