Re: EOUII Rantage!
Grrrr, I've fought Chimera 3times now and I get CLOSE but then it all falls apart. He loses all of his damn binds and then his tail does me in. All my guys are level 14.
I think the fault lies with my Survivalist. I didn't realize I put a lot of effort into his evades but his damage output is "meh" and that's costing me here in this battle.

Oh I see. After checking Sigma's posts he was saying the same thing. LOL, I'll just go level up. I agree. I think at Level 15 my guys won't have any issues. It will work. I will level as I go through and do item farming. I need development money and things.

Re: EOUII Rantage!
doesn't seem too bad. The only thing getting me is that max HP lowering move, that is pure evil. I'm sure his eyes do something nasty but I can easily nova them down no problem. That HP lowering move though, man, could've done the fight in one go were it not for that.
As for Chimaera, I beat him at level 14. I took advantage of the two freebie turns (Using the trap doors) to pile on the binds and then had my Hexer use her Force Break to make sure they stayed on for the entire fight. If use that Poison resist meal, you can probably beat him fairly easily. His tail move is the only dangerous one, and that becomes less of a hassle when its not able to inflict poison.
Make sure you have him fall into all 4 of them by the way. It shaves off a good amount of his HP.

Oh yes. I definitely made sure to hit all four holes. Them i hit with my force attacks and on last turn hit for all my breaks. The tail and double attack can kill me in one turn tho sometimes.

grinding ftw if your party can handle it! I focus on keeping its legs nice and bound up because its fire-splashing attack and defense lowering skills arent too lethal.

Re: EOUII Rantage!
My only grump is that it takes me ages to decide what I want to do partywise.

Re: EOUII Rantage!
Bravo on the Drop Fluff! Im guessing that the respawn time for bosses are still 14 days like the original. It's crazy how they increased its HP from about ! Also if the Poison Wing (conditional) in EO2U is anything like the Brute Wing in EO2

Re: EOUII Rantage!
IF you want a comparison:
Keep in mind the damage ratio in the two games is very different. EO2's had very lowish numbers unless you were using a Revenge Hexer. EO2U's is a lot closer to EO3 and EO1U's damage ratio. You know the HP bloat is real since that's the most HP of any first strata boss in the series. Even Narmer has less!
The on the other hand has a much more reasonable amount of HP. Heck, it has less than Chimaera, and he's fought after him!
EDIT: Tree Sponges are the easiest FOE in the entire series. Bind its arms and it literally can't do anything. Also Ecstasy under Trance is just beautiful, my Dark Hunter does 1400+ damage with it ;_;
At nay rate, on 10F, which still has my least favorite enemy in the series, those blasted Sauroposeidons. They're as awful as ever too. Loading up on Flash Grenades might help, but even if they don't use Charge, they still do so much damage >_<

Re: EOUII Rantage!
Flame Demon (Or Hellion if you prefer) has so much HP...! Got him down to 45% before his binds wore off and proceeded to mop the floor with my party. Also I think he's immune to confuse, since Maddening Curse when maxed didn't seem to work at all. This is with Blood Fortune and Weakening Curse on top of it too!
I'll probably level up a bit. Level 26 is probably too low for him, especially since I have a few places still unmapped in the area.
