*spits drink upon seeing Goodkind* Well then.
I've just finished reading My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult, and... Well. It was so touching and sad... I remember crying at reading the ending. Basically there's this family where the daughter has a form of leukemia, and eventually the parents conceive a genetically "engineered" daughter in order to provide transplants and such for the sick one. Said daughter ends up filing a lawsuit against her parents or some such. She's only 13.
Still, it's amazing, really, how Picoult can pull off the "Multiple POV" so well.

>_< I keep waiting for them to get the 2nd book of the series in. I keep putting off finishing up the first book because I dread the "omg cliffhanger! what happens next!" feeling that always overcomes me.
And noodles, at the end of David Edding's Mallorean series AND at the end of Redemption of Althalus, I cried. Not because they are sad endings but because... I'm a fucking sap who will cry even during happy endings and the fact that T-T I will never see the characters that I love so much ever again!

QUICK KINO! Can you help me?
Dido and Medea <-- do you know them?
I need comparisons between them and their two stories (as the appear in Aeneid by Virgil and Medea by Euripides). :\
I got:
Had trouble with men that ended in tragedy
Saw face of father in children
Medea and Dido both went insane
*sigh* Well, the section of contrasts is easy. -_-;
