Yay Maxine!
The PSP's graphics look awesome when you first see it, but after a while you start to see that it's actually not a whole lot better than the DS. It blurs the pixels a little so they don't seem as blocky.
Also, yay for Class Of Heroes
Let us know how it goes, okay?

:3 Holy shit. I thought that the lack of music in the dungeons would be disappointing, but the sound effects make for an even creepier air than Dark Spire.
^_^ I'm enjoying this game tremendously so far - especially now that I've learned how to appraise shit with my cleric.
I've got two teams formed, but I'm thinking about switching the characters around and such.
Fuggin' quest with teaching me alchemy took all my gold (since I opted to just buy a damn sling rather than try to hunt one down). Not that I mind since I needed a ranged weapon for my guys in the back row, but <_<; I have no ammunition now! LOL. Meh, I guess another labyrinth run will remedy that.
Whee~
It's just great to be going through a labyrinth again. And this game isn't nearly as torturous (so far) as Dark Spire is.
*goes to cuddle up with her game* ... -_-; my project, though... *sigh* I should try to start on it some time today. <_<;

I didn't say it was trying to be like a VN but rather that it was going to be story-centric and that anything of the game is more of a "watch the story unfold" and not "look action that happens with story!" That said, yeah, it is trying to be somewhat "interactive" whatever the fuck that means since it varies for people (I think interactive isn't super appropriate but I like the idea of how the story changes if nothing else) but at the end of the day ... it's really just a story you push buttons/shake a controller for; I can't really agree with "there's just plot!" when it never was anything else really.
Also, the voice actors do suck balls (and neat, I got that from the demo alone!) but the motion cap done is superb for it.
Anyway, I don't own Heavy Rain (yet, maybe) so I can't comment on how it feels as a story or any glitches (though you're really the only one I've seen mention any in the majority of reading I've done on GAF). Was just honestly "wat seriously?" to the whole "IT'S JUST PLOT" comment to a game that is marketed as a game that is purely telling a story.
Edit: On that note, you're the only one on pretty much any game I've ever disagreed with you on to go on about "OH MAN GLITCHES LIKE WHOA" so I don't even know what to say when you bring up glitches. Not that I think the game is perfect mind you but that it's rather odd you're all over these glitch issues yet I don't notice them/other forums don't notice them and some of us are pretty anal about that shit.
Also, R2 to walk is dumb but whatever I got used to it in the demo. Quick-time events are so not revolutionary and I wonder why they even tried to tout it as something special.
Then again, everything in the game is a QTE more-or-less so whatever.
