Re: General Writing

I want to keep notes so I don't have to try to remember everything. The problem was/is things kept changing randomly, but I never sat/sit down to work them out. So everything stays in my head.

The number of stories in my head is getting close to 10. How the hell I remember all the details for them is beyond me. One thing that helps is not having names pinned down.

My characters are mostly their bios. Physical descriptions are mostly just race/ species, age, and hair/ eye colors. Otherwise it's likes/dislikes, hobbies (both of which might not even be important to the character itself, and can show up in the bio), history, and what I want to happen to them in the story.

*nods* No, I know how that is, Sirth. Very rarely do my stories ever make it to "binder stage" - actually now that I've retired my The Broken binder to make room for Dragonwill eventually, I only have a binder for TLQ.

There's a bunch of stuff I put in the binder. EVERYTHING that I write down on paper goes into it. Also, random notes - like I draw heavily on Greek/Roman mythos, so I have a page dedicated to that. I also have magical symbols drawn here and there. Also an attempt at drawing Maxine's "Weaver" clothes. I also even have a sketch of her school building.

In addition to these story things, I've even got a magazine clipping of a dragon statuette since I wanted to use that for basis when I go to explain my dragons in-story.

I also have a map. >_> Though, let me be frank, I'm NOT an artist, and my artist-sister Clarissa gets a big fucking kick out of my drawings. T-T

:3 Oh AND!! I also have a small, old 250mb flash drive that I have purchased a flashdrive holder for which clips into the binder. I upload my story files to it occasionally because I never FULLY trust my computer. In case of emergency I like to think that all I'd have to do is grab this binder and my writing would be safe. (No, seriously, I've had nightmares where I'm searching for this damn notebook in a fire... T-T I never find it... *sigh*)

*snickers* Only 10 stories. Pfft, amateur XD (j/k)

I dunno how I keep it all together either. Like I previously mentioned, Lydia was a nameless formless concept I've had for quite a few years now (ok, honestly: since I was a kid... everytime I'd have an attack....). She was just "the girl with asthma". I've got THOUSANDS of tidbit stuff like this floating around in my head. It's so incredible how one day one of them will suddenly have a form. All I did that day was wake up with the idea of "the girl with asthma" sitting on a dragon wearing an oxygen mask connected to a tank that was strapped on its side. I swear, the only thing I was thinking about that night before I went to bed was probably "god, do I have to go to work tomorrow?" I've not even had an asthma attack for a few months now. *shrugs* And yet, Lydia now exists.

And of what origin is it? Like, the origin of the name, or the place the origin was based off of (If its a fictional origin)?

*Important note: Not actually a Senpai.

Ivri is pronounced ȇv-rȇ (ehv'rey, approximately)

It's real-world origin is as an ancient way of writing "Israelite" in Hebrew. It's also, according to google, the first name of an Israeli pop idol who likes to be photographed shirtless.

For my purposes, Ivri is a young mage of noble birth in a fantasy setting. I found the name in a list of knights and rather liked the look of it.

Will people vote on Rynelle or Renvielle as a surname? (Or vote neither if you think both Ivri Rynelle and Ivri Renvielle look stupid)

Ivri Rynelle rolls off the tongue far more nicely, in my opinion.
