*mutters* So, really dumb moment for me last night and I wanna kick myself. Actually, brilliant moment last night, dumb moment for the last three years.

My AC hasn't been doing so great this season. I didn't know why. I mean, it's three years old but I hardly use the thing. And it sounds like it should be working nicely. It worked... it just kept things.... "tolerable" instead of the "ooh nice fridge feeling". I mean, I remembered having to turn the thing off some summer days because it got too cold.

So, I'm staring at it last night. And I'm looking at it, wondering if maybe it's something dad could look at. Now, keep in mind this is my first AC ever. I stand there and think "it doesn't seem to be throwing out much air... I remember a nice breezing feeling.... is it clogged? can an AC get clogged...." I'm not sure what made me think of it, but I recall putting the thing together when we first got it and I remembered sliding some little box-like thing into the side and it practically became invisible and then I thought... "OMG!! THAT WAS A FILTER!! THE FILTER PROBABLY NEEDS CLEANED!!!!"

Even as I'm taking this poor filter out T-T dust... EVERYWHERE.... UGGGG. At least it was before my shower. I clean the thing off, though I still now need to straight up my room so I can get a vacuum. It was bad. *sigh* <_< I had no idea the thing had a filter.... Hindsight it seems like a pretty obvious notion. Especially when I've cleaned the filters from the ACs we put downstairs every year.

:3 The good news, even as I was cleaning the thing, I came back into my room and already my AC was doing MUCH better. I put the filter back in and go take a shower. I come back out and I almost cheered at how beautiful my room felt.

*hugs her small AC* I'm sorry little AC. I was choking you because I'm an idiot who didn't realize you would more than likely have a filter. >_< *sigh*

At least you realised what it was before your shower. I hate when I have to do something dirty right after a shower.

It finally sat on a flat wall so I could slam it, pin it, burn it with electricity, put it on the floor and stab it with a twohanded mop a couple of times. I think it's too crippled to fly, so aerial supremacy is pretty much ended. :3

Edit: I guess I should stomp it and clean up eventually. I could figure out the species to determine if it's absolutely necessary, but better safe than sorry. I have a hunch it doesn't matter, though. It's not that kind of wasp, to my knowledge.
