The Official Shin Sekaiju no Meikyuu website has released a YouTube video showing off one of its newest cast members: Arthur Charles.
As a bonus, if you are listening closely, at about a minute into the video there's a special music track for those of us that know the first game so well. OMG it's beautiful!!
Remember: this game releases in Japan June 27. Just little over a month away. ... And then we get to sit and pray that Atlus USA will pick up the title. *crosses fingers*

Sorry, some of this news is a little more dated than others. So, without further ado:
First, the trailer above. At first glance it doesn't seem to show off anything new that we haven't seen before. It shows off FOEs, Grimoire Chance, and the Guildhouse (you'll find more information further down in this post about the Guildhouse). At around 2:12 the video suddenly gets far more interesting displaying things like no animation, increased walking speed, and auto-mapping. No, not just the fill-in-the-floor auto-map that we have grown accustomed to since the release of the first game, but an automap that does walls, too. Great for those naysayers against the mapping features.
Next...
The Guildhouse
As part of the new features to the game, there is the Guildhouse - grand central station for all adventurers it seems.
In addition to visiting to set up Grimoires, adventurers can also visit to chow down on food and beverages which add status effects for the next labyrinth outing, and accept requests that offer handsome rewards for those that return.
... Sounds almost as if the Guildhouse may be replacing the Golden Deer Pub? Which is odd considering I know I've seen the pub in the background of certain screens.
And last but not least, our final piece of news!
Atlus character video: Shin EO presents Simon Yorke

Maybe one of our resident translators will feel free to take a stab at some of the content covered, but it is a lot to translate. Still, I'll keep you guys posted in case someone provides a translated transcript of the video!

The Millennium Girl dev blog spouted out a little more important information today. Along with these pictures of Frederica's hair style, the developer also tells us that the classic mode will not be a perfect recreation of the old school Etrian Odyssey. Millennium Girls classic mode will also include Grimoires, the books which can give characters skills from other jobs. As well, it will allow you access to the Guild House, for quests.
There's sure to be a couple dozen (hundred) new strategies to keep you entertained even if you mastered Etrian Odyssey one, so newbies and Labyrinth dwellers alike should be on the look out for Millennium Girl news.

A new video was released today on the Atlus JPN YouTube channel. Obviously the video is in Japanese. Calling any fans who know Japanese: Looking for someone to send a translated video transcript!
I think the video speaks for itself. Hold on, I think I'm drooling...

One thing you can trust about the news flow is that it never leaves you waiting for a full week.
This week, Atlus teases with a view of Millennium Girls Album cover. The tradition of releasing a short but sweet OST continues with the newest game in the series. We can expect to see this CD complete with rough outtakes of some of the musical pieces in the adventure and an assortment of eye candy artworks. If you speak Japanese you'll probably be enjoying this when the game is released on June 27th otherwise you'll just have to take this cover to hold you over.
We're also treated with news of Madhouses participation with Atlus on the opening animation of Millennium Maiden. No tastes of this yet but Madhouses vision of our charismatic dungeon crawler should be something to see in the coming weeks.
Madhouse is also behind Paranoia Agent, Highschool of the dead, and the Persona 4 Golden Arena opening, which greatly raises the expectation for extremely jive dancing to find it's way into Etrian Odyssey this entry.
If you want to see Frederica Shimmy, stick around. Otherwise, see you In The Labyrinth.
